Fashion In Detroit is HERE!!!!

Today begin's the Two-day Fashion event highlighting local and national designer fashions, in a NY-MILAN-PARIS style presentation....FASHION IN DETROIT- MOTOR CITY CASINO- Femilia is proud to show again this year and couldnt be more excited to see the place light up and fill with people!
We just came back to the studio from a seamless fitting at Motor City Casino and are ready to touch up these last pieces and work on something for us to wear!!!!!!

If you haven't purchased tickets, they are still available at www.fashionindetroit.com or can be purchased at the entrance....Shows begin prompty at 1:07pm, and we are showing our new Spring/Summer 2010 Collection tomorrow, which is Saturday, morning to open the day of events~~ See you on the runway!

Also, stayed tuned for all the artists we will be collaborating with in the next few months... First of our collaborative friend, Glass master Drew Kups of Urban Pheasant Glass has a lot of things in store for you to see on the runway of FID this year, so you shouldn't miss out!

This Weeks is a doozy!

Things have been a little quit since there is so much coming up here at Femilia. The new collection has been in production and we are in the preliminary stages of something BIG!!!

Lets start this blog by saying, we apologize for not getting more in touch with you!  This weeks first big news, FEMILIA COUTURE WILL BE IN FASHION IN DETROIT 2010

This October 23rd, at 1pm, our newest collection FUTURE VINTAGE will be revealed at Motor City Casino.  We have some wonderful collaborations with some local artists in this one, and it will guarantee to send chills and thrills through your fashion conscious mind. Newest News at Femilia Headquarters!!!!

Sooooo...Outdoor festival season has closed with a BANG, which leads up to newest, latest, greatest places Femilia will be this Fall!!

First:  TedX DETROIT "The area's leading creators, catalysts, entrepreneurs, artists, technologists, designers, scientists, thinkers and doers will gather on Wednesday, September 29th to share what they are most passionate about — positive ideas for the world from Detroit"

This is a huge Creative Professional Showcase known worldwide as TED X, will be hosted by the Beautiful Detroit Institute of Arts on Wednesday September 29, 2010 from 9am to 6pm.  There will be all kinds of local Detroit/Michigan Art Professionals sharing their cool concepts from Industrial greening design, to apparel and other Creative outlets.

THEN--->Femila has been asked to get involved by our friends at  944 MAGAZINE, for their "CHUCKS FOR CHARITY EVENT" held on Friday October 16, 2010.  This is a different kind of benefit.  All artists have been given a pair of "CHUCK TAYLOR"s kindly donated by Converse (whose Head designer, John Varvatos, has some roots here in Detroit!) Each pair of shoes, will be adorned by each designers creative energies, and auctioned off to raise money for a great cause, the Karmanos Organization!

There are also some more things lined up for the month of October.  BIG news being announced this FRIDAY!!! BIG!!!!! Til Then, Ciao!!

WOW!! DIY did it again!!

Another great night at the best end of summer festival! We would like to thank all the folks, familiies, and doggies that strutted through the booth this past weekend!

A huge thank you to all the new Eco-Chic fashionista's that bought our new bamboo ready to wear pieces! They are going to be awesome additions to your fall wardrobe!!

Our fave Detroit fashionista, Angela, was nice enough to share this lovely pic of her out and about this past weekend!  If anyone remember, this skirt was once a beautiful lace dress from one of our collections in 2007, and definitely needed an update! Voila!

Well, a dream we have had has finally come true.... A lovely gal, originally from Detroit, who now works for the HUBtv, has graced us the opportunity to turn heads in LA.

She will be adorned in a Strapless Drop Waist bustier gown, made of a beautiful Silk Devoure in Copper, and trumpets down to the floor.  Here is a little pic from a past runway that highlighted this breathtaking design...

Exodus is one of Detroit's finest out door dance party locations that Femilia gals in dresses have showed up many of times to shake a ruffle or two ;)  We are collaborating with some wonderful people (Andrew Marke Salon-Rochester Hills and Macomb location, Dj Jenny LeFemme and Matt Aubrey...Special Hosts featuring Jasmine, Jay, and Micheal) this is going to be a memorable evening to celebrate the last Holiday of Summer! HELLO FASHION WORLD.

Hello world my name is Denae' and I am a new intern with Femilia Couture and I love every minute of it. Especially the ladies I work,with  their so awesome. This past weekend we had a Fashion garage sale and it turned out to be a success. We even had local designers to come and participate as well. Can't wait to do it again.
